Wedding Resources

Consolidated Bridal Packages
(Tips for getting a good bridal package)

  • Thomson Bridal Studio (About $1k more expensive than other packages I’ve heard about for similar stuff, but the MUA is recommended and AD photographer had done a great job for my friend’s wedding 2 years ago.)
  • SG Bridal (in JB – appears to be well-starred in wedding forums.)
  • French Bridal – well-starred in wedding forums, gowns appear to be nice too.  Won best photography awards

Gowns only

  • Dsire (They have wedding packages too, but what they appear to be popular for in forums, are their gowns.  Wonder if they do rental?)

  1. my gown was bought from D’sire. that’s because i figure it is cheaper for me to buy than rent since i had my aust wedding before my sg wedding. their gowns are really nice, unique, new and cheap! they do have rental packages.. but i think you already have made your choice right? :)

  2. Ooh, what you say is consistent with what wedding forums are buzzing on. Now, I’m really very curious about their gowns. My guess is that my current bridal studio would be easy on swapping for other items should I not require so many gown rentals? So I think I’ll pop by and see if I would fall in love with their gowns… ;)

Are they along the Tanjong Pager wedding belt? :p

  3. yeah go ahead. best to make appointments to try and fit. go for as many bridal shops as you like and able to. i was frustrated at looking and thank god that d’sire was my 4th and last place (i know 4 places sounds little but i just wanted to get it over and done with!). their style of gowns and their format (cheap price to sell) suits me. but if i were to have a wedding only in sg, i may take up the package with one of the bridal shops. my friends in aust were amazed at how nice and crazily cheap my gown was :p

d’sire is now around little india area. i just went there with my future cousin-in-law last dec. check out the address from their website. well if you can and i think you have the personality to, pick their really unique gowns that only some suits and can carry it! :)

  5. or check out ivan kuek (father of ju ju and dylan from our church). ask edwin or lau or chun seng or any pastors or full time worker to introduce you if you don’t know him. he does wedding photography part-time. my wedding invites were printed with his help.
